1. Figure out what image you want to pass as. Confident and glamorous? Classic and educated? Look the part. Do research about what is in fashion now, and what suits best on you and the image you want to show.

Have good hygiene. Have thorough good oral hygiene and be freshly showered. Use cologne and perfume very sparingly if at all. If you are a lady, prepare yourself with skin-tone appropriate makeup.

Show a confident attitude. Chin high, stand straight and tall. As you walk, bounce a little, but if you are a man, try to make your walk confident and still manly. If you are a lady, make sure to stand tall, chin high but ALWAYS sway a little. But always keep a calm, confident look on your face. That will naturally draw more people eyes to you, and they will instantly get a good impression.

Introduce yourself. It seems hard, but it isn't. Confidently, go up to the person and just say "Hi, I'm __. What's your name?". Done, you just met a new person. Now, what you have to do is talk a bit about your background, but make sure to ask thing and show interest in the other person.

Pay a compliment. On the person's clothes or on the way they look. Try to make it simple and real, something like "You have beautiful eyes" or "Your hair looks pretty", or maybe "I like that your outfit. You look great."

Ask to keep contact. After talking a little with the new person, make sure to tell something like "It was really nice to meet you." and then say you'd like to keep in contact, and then just ask "What's your phone number?" and then give yours. If you can have some little cards with your full name and phone, it will be much easier.
